The Beginning

SBI was founded with a singular mission: to help companies achieve breakthrough sales performance through data-driven insights and proven methodologies. Starting as a research-focused consultancy, we pioneered the study of what makes sales organizations truly effective.

2007

Sales Benchmark Index

We launched the Sales Benchmark Index, creating the industry's most comprehensive database of sales performance metrics. This innovation allowed companies to compare their performance against peers and identify improvement opportunities with unprecedented precision.

2008

Published Market Leading Books

SBI published both Marking Your Number and Topgrading for Sales.

Expand Beyond Sales

Recognizing that sales effectiveness is only one piece of the puzzle, we expanded our focus to encompass the entire go-to-market function-integrating marketing, customer success, and revenue operations into a holistic framework.

Launch Private Equity Practice

SBI Growth Advisory launches it's Private Equity practice, include the Private Equity Help Desk to serve our growing PE-based clientele.

Contributes to The Challenger Sale

Nick Toman, our Chief Product Officer co-wrote "The Challenger Sale," which revolutionized how B2B companies approach customer engagement. This work became one of the most influential sales philosophies of the decade.

CIP Capital partnered with SBI, enabling accelerated investment in research, technology, and talent. This partnership allowed us to serve mid-market and enterprise clients with even greater depth and scale.

We embraced a remote-first operating model, expanding our ability to attract top talent nationwide and serve clients with unmatched flexibility. This transformation proved to be a competitive advantage during a period of global change.

Launch SBI Pro

SBI launched SBI Pro to equip Go-To-Market leaders with essential resources to outpace the competition even during market volatility and competing demands to scale back expenses and grow faster.

Expand Commercial Productivity

SBI Growth Advisory acquired Sales Readiness Group (SRG), an industry-leading sales training company. SRG provides customized, skills-based training programs that produce sustainable behavior change.

Boost Pricing Offerings

To enhance its pricing practice, provide deeper data insights, and offer more robust, data-backed pricing models to clients SBI acquired Pricing Intelligently.

Enhance RevOps Capabilities

SBI Growth Advisory acquired Carabiner Group and its flexible, technology-agnostic approach to revenue operations (RevOps), SBI strengthens its ability to provide end-to-end growth solutions for clients spanning strategy, execution, training, and digital integration.

Introduce SBI Wayforge™
